Wednesday 7th

What a difference a day makes in Vancouver, yesterday morning we thought it was going to rain during the day so we decided to give Grouse Mountain a miss until today, as it turned out yesterday afternoon was sunny.

And today !!

Never mind, seeing it is our last day in Vancouver we had to go up Grouse Mountain which is about 30 minutes out of the city in Nth Vancouver.

You take the skyway up the mountain which takes about 8 minutes.

There are many things to see on a clear day, but it was limited today due to the rain and fog.
There is a lumberjack show, guided eco walk,a timber wolf birds in motion demonstration and finally the Bears. We walked around their enclosure and did not see them so we headed back down to the chalet.

We heard there was going to be a ranger talk so we headed back up, lucky we did because no sooner where we there they came out.

When we left the Bears the weather began to close in.

The chair lift was not operating due to the weather.

This area gets turned into a skating rink in the winter and the whole mountain becomes a ski field, at $149 CAD for a yearly pass not a bad option when only 30 minutes from the centre of the city.

There are some interesting wooden carvings throughout the area.
