Sunday 11th

A roundabout road trip today from Kamloops to Salmon Arm, if you went directly it is 109 km, but we did a day round trip of 283 km through Merrit and Kelowna.

The countryside changed during the day from rolling hills to mountain passes to lakes, the trip was very picturesque. We came across Roche Lake Resort that was up for sale.

Roche Lake

Rolling hills.

Deer fencing along both sides of the highway, it went for ages, must have cost a fortune.

Lakes Country.

We travelled to Kelowna which is situated on the shores of Okanagan Lake, Okanagan Lake is a large, deep lake in the Okanagan Valley of British ColumbiaCanada. The lake is 135 km long, between 4 and 5 km wide, and has a surface area of 348 km².

Situated close to the Kelowna Yacht Club are apartments, which has its own lake connected to Okanagan Lake, by way of a private lock so the boat owners can access the lake.

We passed through the Coldstream Valley on our way to Salmon Arms where we stayed the night.
