Today we drove from Whistler to Kamloops, a small change in the route as we decided to give Sun Peaks a miss as it is the weekend and it is a ski resort and bike park similar to Whistler.
It was an easy drive with the scenery changing as we drove along, from the high mountains, covered in pine trees to rolling hills which had begun to dry out.
Our Jeep Patriot.
We had a stop at Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. And walked to the lower lake. The car park was full so we are assuming most people hike to the upper lake closer to the glaciers.
It was back on the road through more scenic countryside.
We had a few more stops along the way.
We arrived in Kamloops at about 3pm and went for a stretch around Riverside Park.
Following this we had a bit of a drive around town before heading back the way we came into Kamloops as we saw a number of Motels on our way in, we settled on a Best Western for the night.
