Saturday 17th

Short trip today from Lake Louise to Banff, we decided to take the Bow Valley Parkway which is more scenic route than the Trans-Canada Highway. It had rained last night and there was still light drizzle when we set off today.

Our Lake Louise accommodation.

Before leaving Lake Louise we went and had a look at the Ski fields.

Bow river which eventually flows into Hudson Bay.

We saw deer on the side of the road.

When we arrived in Banff we had a drive around town before parking and having an explore. Firstly we went to the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies before finding Wild Bills where we had lunch.

Views of Bannt Street from Wild Bills.

We then headed to the Rocky Mountain Resort where we are staying for a couple of days, it is a bit out of town but clean and tidy, which counts, they have a shuttle bus which runs into town so we intend to use it tonight.

Banff at night.
