Shuswap Lake consists of four arms, forming a shape reminiscent of the letter H. The four arms are called Salmon Arm (southwest), Anstey Arm (northeast), Seymour Arm (north), and the main lake (west). Shuswap Lake connects to Little Shuswap Lake via the Little River, which flows from the end of the west arm. The lake is 89 km long, 5km wide, covers 310 sq km and has an average depth of 61m.
We arrived in Golden and couldn't find any of the white water rafting places, we went to the local pub for a beer and Chris decided to ask a local, as it worked out he was a river guide for Hydra White Water rafting and he said they where still operating until the 15th as all the others had closed for the summer. We found a motel for the night and checked out Hydra on the Internet, they where still taking bookings for tomorrow afternoon so it out to the Kicking Horse River for hopefully a day of fun.
