Wednesday 17th

Today we decided to take a Hop-On Hop-Off City Sights tour of Victoria on an open top double decker bus. The tour commenced in town adjacent to the Fairmont Hotel.

The tour stops at 14 locations if you wish to get off and took about 90 minutes to complete. The tour takes you through different areas of Victoria including China town and back past the waterfront.

We decided to get off at Oak Bay village and walk to the marina and The Oak Bay Beach hotel where we had lunch overlooking the water.

It is amazing where you can be sitting in Canada by the water and look at the snow capped mountains across the water in the USA, you cannot experience that in Australia.

Tonight we went to the Sticky Wicket Pub for tea, prices are very similar to Australia except for the drinks which when on special are cheap, Chris was rapt when  glass of wine was $3.48 plus tax. Most places have happy hour from 3-5pm.

It is now 10pm and we are just getting home, amazing that Chris is still up.
Tomorrow it is off to Butchart Gardens which is 55 acres in total, it is one of the main tourist attractions on Vancouver Island.
