Friday 26th

At sea all day today as we headed north towards College Fjord, we passed back through the Icy Straits and out into the Gulf of Alaska at Cape Spencer. Once in the Gulf we headed north. The weather has fined up and sunny with a little bit of wind that has given the ship the slightest of a roll. We can see land with snow capped mountains on the starboard side as we continue north.

Lazy day onboard organising our bags as we are downsizing to one between us for the next few days as we can send some bags straight through to Fairbanks, saves lugging two big bags on and off buses.

The following pictures are of some of the area’s onboard, We have visited most of them, there where only two restaurants that we didn't go to as you had to pay a service charge and we saw no reason to do so as the variety of food in the other restaurants was great.

We  passed Yakutat Bay on our starboard side and made landfall at Hinchinbrook Island at 2pm and this marked our passage into Prince William Sound. It was still windy but the sheltered waters calmed the sea for a smoother ride, there where snow capped mountains along most of the shore as we proceeded up Prince William Sound.

We then proceeded to College Fjord in the late afternoon, with glaciers on both sides of the ship, we then retraced our route to Decision Point and Trinity Point where we will make our way to Whittier we we arrive in the early hours of the morning.

You could not complain about anything on the cruise, the service onboard was great, the side excursions where ok and well organised and the organisation to disembark was spot on and again week organised.
