Sunday 21st

Today we continued to cruise the Prince Charlotte Sound towards Ketchikan, the weather is getting a little cooler with overcast sky's in the morning but cleared up in the afternoon.

We went to a talk on Lumberjacking with a demonstration on axe throwing which we will see in Ketchican tomorrow, we also went to a talk on whales which was interesting as it described the migration from Alaska to Hawaii to give birth whereas in Australia they come from the Antarctic to Queenland.

Between all this there was the obligatory eating, there is never a shortage of food or drink at any time of the day. Tonight was formal night where everyone gets dressed to the nines, we where dressed to the sevens as we where not going to drag posh clothes around in our bag for 9 weeks.

Again we had a lovely evening with a different group of people from Arkinsaw, Minnasotta, Taupo NZ ( Again reminding us who won the rugby last week) and Melbourne, five couples all doing different things.

When we where arriving for dinner we met the two ladies we had dinner with last night and they asked if we would like to join them on Wednesday night for the Head Chef's special dinner, we said yes why not, they said they would arrange it. During dinner the Matre-Di came to confirmed our booking at $95USD each, oh well we are on holidays.

After dinner it was off to a show featuring a Comedian who was very good, tonight we move into another time zone so we get an extra house sleep, which we loose when we fly back to Vancouver after this phase of the trip. Over the next few days we are in a different port in Alaska with something different to do in each.
