Thursday 6th

It was up early today to catch the 4.30am hotel shuttle to the airport. We had changed our flights and were booked on a plane to Las Vegas via Houston. When we arrived we expected not to see many people but there where thousands waiting to board planes to escape Hurricane Matthew.

When we arrived at the airport we were greeted with pocker machines throughout the airport, well we are in Vegas I suppose.

We arrived at the hotel and where disappointed, it is dingy and old and well away from the strip. I am sure the travel company has never seen this place, having tried to sell you shares in an upmarket timeshare and then to put you up in this is disappointing.

The hotel does have a shuttle that runs into the strip on the hour which is some consolation as you could not walk and cabs are very expensive.

We had a quick look around to get our bearings to help us plan the remainder of our days in Vegas.

The Paris Casino.

The Bellagio Casino.

A must see when in Vegas, the Bellagio water fountain display.

Noting we were up at the crack of dawn and had 3 hours added to our day due to the time difference we risked having a meal at the hotel and crashed early.
